Privacy Policy

Account information: your name, email address, and authentication details when you register or sign in (including via Google).

Collection & listing data: specimens you catalog, photos you upload, marketplace offers you create, and any attributes or provenance you enter.

Transaction data: purchase history, order status, escrow and payout records, tracking numbers, claim and return details, and seller invoices. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor (Base44 Payments); we do not store full card numbers.

Usage data: how you interact with Sage, device and browser information, and approximate location derived from your IP address.

Communications: emails we send you (delivery confirmations, renewal reminders, category alerts you opt into) and support correspondence.

We use your information to:

• create and manage your account and collection;
• process marketplace purchases, hold funds in escrow, and pay sellers;
• run AI-powered visual checks and specimen identification you request;
• send transactional notices, reminders, and the category alerts you enable;
• verify tracking, resolve disputes and returns, and prevent fraud;
• maintain seller ratings, price trends, and aggregate market data;
• comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Use.

When you request a visual check, the photos you submit are analyzed by an AI model to assist with identification and valuation. Results are informational only and not a guarantee of authenticity or value. Uploaded photos and any AI-generated results may be stored with your specimen record so you can reference them later.

We share data only as needed to operate Sage:

• Sellers and buyers see the transaction details necessary to complete an order (e.g., item, price, tracking, and seller invoice information).
• Service providers that help us run Sage — payment processing (Base44 Payments), shipping/tracking (Shippo), email delivery, and AI providers — receive only what they need to perform their function.
• Legal compliance: we may disclose information to respond to legal process, protect rights, or prevent fraud.

We never sell your personal information.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide our services and maintain records (including for tax and dispute-resolution purposes). You may request deletion of your account; some records may be retained where required by law. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, but no system is perfectly secure.

Sage uses cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, and analytics. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect some features.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of certain data uses. Category alerts can be toggled off at any time in the app. To exercise these rights, contact us at admin@sageandstones.com.

Sage is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here with an updated date. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email where appropriate.
